I am so excited and honored to be a part of your child's educational experience and I'm very happy you chose our school! Peralta Trail Elementary School has been my home for the last 5 years and I love the pride behind being a Bobcat. The students at our school are encouraged to Grow, Respect, Overcome, Work, and Lead each day! Those are powerful and valuable skills that are modeled daily in my classroom.
I know that strong memories are ones that include joy so I strive to bring that to the table every day. My lessons are purposeful, my grading is fair, and my students' enjoyment level is one of the most important levels. I know if students are having fun and feeling great while they are learning then their confidence, awareness, memory, and skill sets are all being nourished. My focus for each student in my classroom is to help them love who they are, learn how to be a great listener and communicator, discover their strengths and passions, and build a deep love of growing and learning that last a lifetime. Every student is an important part of our class family and I celebrate and respect all diversity!
Outside of the classroom, I love geology, rock hounding, hiking, creating art, reading, St. Louis Blues hockey, and exploring. I love to share my passions with my students so it can be fully expected that your children will come home with some new rocks and minerals throughout their school year with me. I am on track to graduate with my Masters in Reading this May. I am always working to learn more, try harder, and be the best teacher I can for my students.
Cheers to a new school year that I hope to be full of adventure, happiness, knowledge, and growth!
