Mrs. LaClair

Hello Bobcats!!!

Welcome to 3rd grade!

My name is Mrs. LaClair and this will be my 8th year in AJUSD, 10th year teaching overall. I am so excited to continue my journey in teaching 3rd grade this year! Third grade is such a crutial part in a childs early education and I love being able to push students to their fullest potential and get them ready to be more independent when they move into the intermediate grade levels. I obtained my Bachelors in Education back in 2012 from Northern Arizona University and have loved the art of teaching since. I am so blessed to be apart of the family here at PTES and cannot wait for another successful 2021-2022 school year!

A little about me:

I was born in Texas, moved to Washington State (GO SEAHAWKS), moved to North Carolina and came to the lovely state of Arizona when I was in 3rd grade oddly enough. I have a younger brother Brandon who is a Smoke Jumper stationed in Idaho. I have been married to my husband Blake for almost 3 years now. We just moved into our first home and reside in Queen Creek, Arizona. My hobbies include anything with water (I used to be on the swim team in high school). I love decorating my new home in all of the beach/island decor that I can find. My husband and I also love to travel whenever we get the opportunity to do so. Some of our places to go are Hawaii and Florida!

A few of my favorite things:

I absolutely am obsessed with sharks. We got to cage dive with them on our honeymoon in Hawaii! I love Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, Rockstars, and any diet soda... (caffine is crutial in the teaching world Haha!), chinese food, pizza, and In n Out is always a favorite! I love candles especially fruity smells! I love pineapples as that is the theme of my classroom.

If you have any question throught the year, please don't hesitate to ask!
