Chef Instructor John Diana                 

Hello there! Welcome to my teacher site. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with your students during the 2019-2020 school year. This is my 13th year Teaching and my 3rd year here at AJHS. Prior to my assignment here at the high school, I spent three years teaching culinary arts at Mesa Community college and seven years teaching culinary arts at EVIT main campus.

I completed a two year culinary trade school program when I attended high school at Forbes Road East Vocational Technical School in Pennsylvania and continued on to earn my AOS degree at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY. After nearly 40 years in the hospitality industry I am now a certified fulltime instructor for East Valley Institute of Technology.

I have a passion for food creativity and cooking which I enjoy sharing with young people. My class offers more than just culinary training for example, we promote the necessary communication, accountability and basic life skills necessary for our students to excel in life.
