• Contrary to reports on social media, the Apache Junction Unified School District has not shut down its schools.
A letter was sent Monday to parents whose students are impacted by the 14-day quarantine in regard to positive tests. In addition, the football, volleyball and cheer teams will not take part in any athletic competition the next two weeks because of positive tests within their respective programs.
    Here is the letter:
The administration team was made aware of a positive COVID-19 case today on campus. As the reports were made to the Pinal County Health Department and contact tracing was done the decision has been made that your child should be quarantined for the next 14 days. Your child can report back to school on Monday, November 16. During the time they are home they are encouraged to participate in their classes via online learning. Please read through the letter that we have attached with important information from the Pinal County Health Department.
We know this is a challenging time for everyone. We ask that you do your part in quarantining your child. Your child will not be allowed on campus or able to participate in any school events from Tuesday, November 3- Sunday, November 15; they may return back to school on Monday, November 16.
