My name is Annemaria Osborn and I have been working within the Apache Junction Unified School District for 7 years. I started as a paraprofessional within the special education department for 3 years. I decided that I loved it so much so I went back to school and obtained my Masters of Special Education from Grand Canyon University. I took a position as a self-contained teacher at Peralta Trail Elementary and I have been there ever since. For the 2021-2022 school year I will be working in a K-6 Resource room. My goal is to help students gain deeper understanding in academic areas where they may need extra help. I will also assist students with social/behavioral and study skill needs. This is a new position within special education for me but I am willing to learn and thrive for excellence in my new position and with the students that I will get to work with through the school year. When a child enters my classroom for the year I treat them as if they were my own and I will go above and beyond to ensure they are engaged in fun and learning! Before a child can actual learn I believe that we need to have a strong community a sense of trust and friendship. Building a relationship with each student and their family is the key to success!
