My name is Laura Lucero, I joined Apache Junction Unified School District and the Peralta Trail Family July 2018 and graduated from ASU's iTeach program May 2018. I taught 4th Grade my first year with Peralta Trail and 2nd Grade the last two years. I earned my first Bachelor degree many years ago and decided that there was no time like the present to pursue my true passion, teaching! I am looking forward to continuing my growth as a teacher and having your student in our class this coming school year. My degree is in Elementary Education which includes an emphasis in STEM and I have also earned an Environmental Education certificate.
Welcome to the 2nd Grade for the 2021/2022 school year. I am so excited to have your student in my class at Peralta Trail Elementary School. I am very excited to meet you all and I will work very hard to meet your student's needs during the school year ahead. I am truly looking forward to an amazing, fun and adventurous school year.
When I am not at school you will find me out in the mountains camping and kayaking with my two dogs and husband. We have three adult children and four beautiful granddaughters who live in Pennsylvania and Oregon, so we travel as often as we can see them. I had a wonderful summer but I am really looking forward to meeting and having your student in my classroom.
