In Title 1, our goal is to help each child become the best reader he or she can be.

With this goal in mind,we work on different reading strategies and skills.  They range form letter/sound recognition and reading fluency to reading comprehension. 

Other areas in which we focus on are sight words and sharing the love of reading. It is in these areas, students need additional help from parents and/or family members at this time. 

If you look on the left side of this page, you will see two additional links.  They are located under the Resources Tab.

The first is labeled "Sight Words" has a lists of words for each grade level and beyond.  The Sight Word list are set up so you can print them and practice with your child.

The second is labeled "Great Books" has a wide range of books ideas for students and/or parent read alouds.  Take a quick peek, you might find one you like.
